I Miss You Memory Box has been created for children to help them understand and manage bereavement.

The pebble painting is a simple craft activity that helps with conversations about life and loss. Your child can paint each of the pebbles with colours, patterns or designs that represent memories, emotions or people.

Decorating the box with the paints provided personalises it, whilst encouraging expression of emotions through art. The box that is then 100% theirs, can be be kept as a memory/keepsake box to keep treasured mementos safely inside.

In the box;

• I Miss You, A First Look At Death by Pat Thomas
  A gentle introduction to the concept of a loved one dying, ​what happens at each stage and the emotions that come with it. It tells how a person can live on within each of us by the lessons they shared whilst alive.
• A pebble painting set to paint with memories
• A set of 8 acrylic paints with brushes
• Magnetic fridge fob to hold a photograph
• Craft materials to decorate the box, including buttons, sequins and PVA glue
• A ​notepad & pencil (colour may vary)

Memories Box helps families and carers to have open and honest discussions with the children in their care, by using the box and it’s contents to help them prepare for or manage bereavement, through crafts, art therapy and the story.
